Role of Pakistanis in New York Police hailed

Over 600 Pakistanis working with police contributing significantly to ties between two countries, function told.

NEW YORK: Over 600 Pakistani Americans are serving in the New York Police department, contributing significantly to the relationship between the United States and Pakistan.

This was stated at a function hosted by the New York Police Department in connection with Pakistan Day to be held on March 23.

The event was organized by Pakistani American Law Enforcement Society under the umbrella of the Police Department.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to United States Masood Khan inaugurated the ceremony which was attended among others, by people from different walks of life.

Speaking on the occasion, the participants said that Pakistani diaspora played an active part in different fields in the US and were also catalyst in development of their motherland.

The Pakistani participants thanked the organizers for holding the function in connection with the Pakistan Day.
