Senate of Ireland seeks sanctions on Israel

Also calls for preventing shipment of US weapons to Israel through Irish airspace and seaports.

The Senate of Ireland has demanded that sanctions such as international arms embargo should be pised on Israel for its continuous killings of innocent civilians in Gaza.

The Senate also unanimously called for preventing shipment of US weapons to Israel through Irish airspace and seaports.

The house through a resolution asked the Irish government to impose restrictions against Israel and urge the international community for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

In the resolution, the lawmakers expressed regret over the “failure of many countries in the international community to hold Israel to account for their actions in breach of international law.”

The members of the Irish Senate also attended a rally calling on the international community to force Israel on a ceasefire.

Since October 7 of last year, the Zionist state has been bombarding civilian population in Gaza killing over 26,000 people including children and women. The Zionist state also did not spare refugees and bombed them in refugee camps. It also attacked hospitals and killed even patients.

But the US and its allies shamelessly back the Zionist state openly with Washington even vetoing resolutions in the United Nations Security Council calling for humanitarian ceasefire for the third time recently.
