Shehbaz to Visit Türkiye on Erdogan’s Invitation Tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Türkiye this Saturday at the special invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for high-level talks on bilateral and regional issues.

The meeting comes at a time of significant geopolitical developments in the Middle East, making the visit particularly important for both countries. The two leaders are expected to discuss cooperation in defense, trade, investment, energy, information technology, industry, regional connectivity, and strategic partnerships.

According to diplomatic sources, the discussions will also focus on expanding economic cooperation and strengthening the long-standing strategic relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye.

Regional developments, including the situations in Gaza, Iran, Syria, and the wider Middle East, are expected to feature prominently in the talks. Both leaders will exchange views on regional security, counterterrorism efforts, energy security, and the evolving global political landscape.

During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif will address the Pakistan–Türkiye Business Forum in Istanbul, attended by senior government officials, business leaders, investors, and representatives of trade organizations from both countries. The forum aims to highlight investment opportunities in Pakistan, particularly in special economic zones, energy, information technology, infrastructure, manufacturing, trade, and privatization.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with leading Turkish business executives to discuss potential investments and avenues for expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
