Supreme Judicial Council Rejects PTI Complaint Against CEC

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) of Pakistan has dismissed a complaint filed against Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, according to official correspondence shared with the complainant.

The complaint was submitted by former PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub, who had raised concerns regarding the conduct of the Chief Election Commissioner.

According to the letter issued by the Council, the matter was reviewed during its meeting held on February 11, 2026. After consideration, the Council decided to reject the complaint.

The decision has been formally communicated to Omar Ayub through an official letter, confirming that no further action will be taken on the petition.

The ruling comes amid ongoing political tensions between the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and state institutions, particularly over electoral processes and governance matters.
