Trump to attend NATO summit in Ankara on July 7-8

WASHINGTON: The White House has announced that US President Donald Trump will attend the NATO summit in Ankara on July 7–8.

According to the White House, Trump is scheduled to hold a sidelines meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the summit.

He is also expected to meet Ahmed al-Sharaa while in Ankara. The summit will bring together leaders of NATO member states to discuss key regional and security issues.

The meetings are expected to focus on the war in Ukraine, NATO’s collective defence strategy, regional security developments, and the evolving situation in the Middle East, with leaders also expected to discuss continued military and diplomatic cooperation among allies.
