Zaka quits as PCB management body chair

Shah Khawar named as acting chairman who will conduct election.

LAHORE: Zaka Ashraf on Friday resigned from the post of chairman of the management committee of Pakistan Cricket Board.

He tendered his resignation in a meeting of the management committee. The resignation was sent to the government. He said that he was working for the betterment of the cricket board but under current circumstances hecwas unable to continue.

Zaka was appointed by the caretaker government in July last year for a period of four months. Later, his tenure was extended.

Meanwhile, Shah Khawar has been named as the acting chairman of the PCB who will conduct new election for the board.
