Zardari Congratulates Mongolia on National Day, Vows Strong Ties

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday congratulated Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, the government and the people of Mongolia on the occasion of their National Day, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and friendship.

According to a press release issued by the President Secretariat’s Media Wing, President Zardari said Mongolia’s National Day marks the country’s proud history, rich cultural heritage and the enduring spirit of its people.

He said the Naadam Festival, celebrated through the traditional sports of wrestling, archery and horse racing, reflects Mongolia’s vibrant civilization and the deep sense of pride among its people.

The President noted that Pakistan and Mongolia enjoy warm and cordial relations founded on mutual trust, shared values and cooperation at regional and multilateral forums. He said growing collaboration in trade, commerce, agriculture, capacity building and people-to-people exchanges demonstrates the positive momentum in bilateral relations.

Expressing confidence in the future of ties, President Zardari said the friendship between Pakistan and Mongolia would continue to grow stronger, guided by shared aspirations for peace, friendship and sustainable development.
