NEW YORK: Resolution of conflicts in different parts of the world is imperative to make the earth a peaceful abode for mankind.
This was stated by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir here today. He was speaking at a function organized the UN headquarters in New York to in connection with Nowruz which is celebrated on March 21
Mr Akram highlighted the essence of Nowruz as a symbol of nature’s renewal and the resilience of human spirit.
He stressed the importance of Nowruz as a moment for forgiveness, fresh beginnings and acceptance.
He said that Nowruz is not just celebration, it is also a moment of deep reflection.
Other speakers on the occasion highlighted the essence of Nowruz and called for promotion of peace in the world.
