ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to start the Hajj registration process for next year from June 22, the Ministry of Religious Affairs announced.
According to officials, intending pilgrims will be able to complete their registration online through the ministry’s official website. Only those who complete the registration process will be eligible to perform Hajj next year.
The ministry stated that the online registration will remain open until the required quota of applicants is reached, after which the process will be closed.
Authorities have made it mandatory for applicants to possess a passport valid until at least November 2027 in order to register. No fee will be charged at the registration stage.
Officials further clarified that individuals who complete the registration will be eligible to perform Hajj under both the government and private Hajj schemes.
The move is part of efforts to streamline the Hajj application process and ensure transparency in the selection of pilgrims.
