Ambassador discusses Pak-US ties with American lawmakers

WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan separately met US lawmakers and discussed Pakistan-US relations especially in the fields of economy, security, defence and climate change.

The ambassador held meetings with Senator Todd Young, Chairman Armed Services Committee Congressman Mike Rogers and Deputy Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar in Washington DC. 

They also discussed regional developments and agreed to continue engagement.

Senator Todd Young currently serves on the U.S. Senate Committees on Finance; Foreign Relations; Commerce, Science & Transportation; and Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Meanwhile, US Armed Services Committee has jurisdiction over laws, programs, and agencies under permanent authority in numerous titles of the United States Code.
