ISLAMABAD: Pakistani pilgrims planning to perform Hajj in 2027 will be able to renew their passports before their expiry dates, following special arrangements made by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, the Passport Office has issued instructions to facilitate early passport renewals for intending Hajj pilgrims.
For Hajj 2027, Pakistani pilgrims must hold a passport valid until at least November 16, 2027. Passport offices have therefore been directed to accept early renewal applications from intending pilgrims and process them on a priority basis.
The ministry said pilgrims can renew their passports before the usual expiry period under Passport Rules 3(c).
The instructions apply to passport offices across Pakistan as well as passport facilities operating at Pakistani missions abroad. Authorities have been directed to process applications promptly to prevent delays for Hajj pilgrims.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has advised all prospective Hajj pilgrims to obtain a Pakistani passport valid through November 16, 2027 ahead of the next stages of the Hajj process.
It clarified that applications for Hajj 2027 will not be accepted without a valid Pakistani passport meeting the required validity period.
