KARACHI: The Sindh School Education Department has directed private educational institutions across the province to observe Kashmir Exploitation Day on August 5 with various activities.
The Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions has issued a circular to private schools, instructing them to organise programmes to mark the day.
According to the directives, schools will arrange speeches, essay-writing competitions and other activities to raise awareness among students about the Kashmir issue.
School administrations have also been asked to ensure active participation of students and organise the programmes in a dignified manner.
The department has further directed private schools to submit photographs and detailed reports of the August 5 activities to the Sindh Education Department.
The directive comes ahead of August 5, which is observed in Pakistan as Kashmir Exploitation Day, marking the anniversary of India’s 2019 move to revoke the special constitutional status of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.
