Pak-Kuwait Defence Agreement Ratification Key Milestone: FO

Foreign Office Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has welcomed Kuwait’s ratification of the Defence Cooperation Agreement, describing the development as an important milestone in strengthening the longstanding defence partnership between the two brotherly countries.

The Foreign Office said the agreement, signed in June 2023, provides a comprehensive institutional framework for expanding defence cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.

The framework covers military training and education, joint military exercises, exchange of defence expertise and experience, and cooperation in other mutually agreed areas.

The Foreign Office said the agreement would further strengthen institutional ties between the armed forces of the two countries and contribute to deeper defence relations.

Pakistan and Kuwait have maintained defence cooperation since the early 1980s, with the two sides continuing to build on their longstanding partnership.
