Pakistan’s Olympic gold medallist Arshad Nadeem failed to secure a medal in the javelin throw final at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Nadeem struggled to find his rhythm, with his first attempt recorded as a foul. He managed 77.41 metres with his second throw and remained in ninth place after the first three attempts.
With only the top eight athletes advancing to the next round, Nadeem’s campaign ended after three throws.
Sri Lanka’s Ramesh Pathirage produced the leading throw of 89.75 metres, while India’s Neeraj Chopra recorded 85.83 metres on his second attempt.
