ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has officially announced the closure of admissions for medical and dental colleges across the country for the 2025–26 academic session.
According to a spokesperson, the deadline for submitting applications was April 15, 2026, and no further admissions will be accepted under any circumstances.
The council has warned both institutions and students that any admissions granted after the deadline will be considered illegal. It further clarified that students enrolled through late admissions will not be issued registration numbers by the council, rendering them ineligible to practice as licensed doctors.
The PMDC has directed all medical and dental colleges to strictly adhere to the admission regulations to ensure transparency and protect students’ academic and professional futures.
