Akhter Mengal warns of protest march to Quetta

BNP continues sit-in at Mastug against arrest of Baloch Yakjihti Committee leader Mahrang Baloch and others.

QUETTA: The head of Balochistan National Party Akhtar Mengal said that if the arrested women leader of Balochistan were not released in two days, they will march towards Quetta.

According to the party sources, the sit-in of BNP (Mengal) at Lak Pass Mastung  continued for the fifth day under the leadership of Akhtar Mengal.

Addressing the sit-in, Akhtar Mengal said, “The arrest of women is not acceptable. If the women are not released in two days, we will march towards Quetta.” 

He added that he would not return until the women were released and that the protest sit-in would continue.

It may be mentioned here that Mahrang Baloch and other women leaders of Baloch Yakjihti Committee have been arrested and jailed in Quetta after they gave a strike call in Balochistan a few days ago.
