Aleema, Uzma Khan Declared Proclaimed Offenders

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has declared Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan, proclaimed offenders in connection with the October 4 protest case and issued permanent arrest warrants against them.

The proceedings were conducted by ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra. The court took the decision after police completed the proclamation proceedings and submitted their report.

According to the report, the court also sought details of the properties owned by Aleema and Uzma Khan. The case against the two sisters has been registered at Kohsar Police Station in Islamabad.

The court’s action came after the police submitted documentation regarding their status in the case. Following consideration of the police report, the court formally declared both women proclaimed offenders and issued permanent arrest warrants.

The October 4 protest case is among several cases registered against PTI leaders and supporters in connection with demonstrations and political activities.

The latest development could have further legal implications for Aleema and Uzma Khan, with authorities now authorised to take steps for their arrest in accordance with the court’s orders.
