Stocks Fall 901 Points, Dollar Edges Lower

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Stock Exchange opened on a bearish note on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index falling 901 points to 175,141.

The decline reflected selling pressure in the market as investors remained cautious during early trading. The movement came amid mixed sentiment across the broader financial market.

Meanwhile, the US dollar weakened by one paisa in interbank trading, slipping from Rs277.82 to Rs277.81.

The marginal decline in the dollar’s value indicates relative stability in the foreign exchange market, despite the sharp fall recorded in the stock market during early trading.
