Arcadia Lake shooting left at least 13 people injured after gunfire erupted during a crowded gathering in Oklahoma late Sunday.
Police said the shooting began around 9:00 p.m. at a campground near Arcadia Lake. The event, promoted as “Sunday Funday,” drew hundreds of young attendees.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after multiple 911 calls reported active gunfire. Authorities described the situation as chaotic and fast-moving.
Four victims suffered gunshot wounds inside a vehicle near the site. Ambulances transported at least 10 injured people to nearby hospitals.
At least three others sought medical treatment privately, according to officials.
Search for Suspects Intensifies
Police launched a manhunt for multiple suspects who fled into nearby wooded areas. Officers said the dense terrain slowed their initial response.
Edmond Police spokesperson Emily Ward called the scene “terrifying.” She confirmed that victims remain in varying conditions.
Investigators have not released suspect descriptions or identified a motive. Detectives continue reviewing witness accounts and social media videos.
Authorities believe footage from attendees could prove critical to identifying those responsible.
Investigation Expands Across Agencies
Officials set up a reunification center at a nearby Walmart for families. Law enforcement teams worked to account for those present.
The State Highway Patrol and local agencies assisted in securing the area overnight. Officers maintained a strong presence around the lake.
Arcadia Lake is a major recreational site for fishing, boating, and camping. The City of Edmond manages the area.
Police urged anyone with information or video evidence to come forward. Forensic teams continue processing the scene as the investigation remains active.
