PESHAWAR: A young athlete from Pakistan, Masood Khan, has set a new world record by completing an 800-kilometre non-stop run from Peshawar to Skardu.
According to reports, the ultra-endurance runner covered the challenging route in around nine days, passing through the difficult terrain of the Karakoram Highway, the scenic valleys of Gilgit-Baltistan, and along the Indus River.
The route is considered one of the most demanding in the world due to its steep mountains, extreme weather conditions, and long-distance isolation.
Masood Khan said the achievement was a matter of pride for Pakistan, adding that despite extreme physical exhaustion and difficulty during the journey, he remained committed to completing the challenge for his country.
He noted that his feet struggled during the run, but his determination to represent Pakistan on a global level kept him going until the end.
