LAKKI MARWAT: Police successfully foiled a late-night terrorist attack on the Gambila police station of Lakki Marwat in Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
According to officials, police personnel detected the terrorists’ movements using thermal cameras and did not allow them to establish positions. A firefight ensued, but no casualties were reported on either side.
A police spokesperson said that after their attack failed, the terrorists fled while firing. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Bannu praised the police officers for their courage and bravery.
RPO Bannu, Sajjad Khan, stated that the police force is already on alert and equipped with modern technology to respond to such terrorist threats.
