ISLAMABAD: A one-window service center has been opened in the Diplomatic Enclave of Islamabad to provide services to diplomats under one roof.
The center called Cascade Service Center was inaugurated by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in the presence of a number of ambassadors and other diplomatic staff on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the interior minister said that diplomats and foreign nationals will get facilities such as the issuance and renewal of driving licenses, character certificates, general police verification, missing person reports and tenant registration.
The minister told the gathering that the government had taken a number of steps to facilitate the foreign diplomats and nationals and the opening of the Cascade Service Center was one of them.
He said that the government had also taken stringent measures for the security and safety of the foreign nationals in Islamabad and other cities.
The minister said over 1500 police and paramilitary personnel and 20 police vehicles were engaged in the security of the diplomatic enclave which houses most of the embassies and high commissions in Islamabad.
