Consulate General of Pakistan New York Hosts Networking Event
NEW YORK: The Consulate General of Pakistan in New York hosted a networking event in honor of the visiting delegation of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP), bringing together key importers and distributors from across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
The delegation, led by Chairman REAP Mr. Faisal Jahangir, is visiting the United States from May 7–9, 2026 to explore opportunities for enhancing Pakistan’s rice exports.
The event was attended by over 25 prominent U.S.-based importers and distributors, including representatives from Best Foods, Diamond Foods, AKC Commodities, Shata Traders, Deep Foods, AGP & Sons, Advance Foods, among others.
In his welcome remarks, Consul General Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai highlighted Pakistan’s strong export potential in the rice sector and emphasized the importance of strengthening commercial linkages with U.S. partners.
Trade & Investment Counsellor Mr. Adnan Mahmood Awan outlined the objectives of the delegation’s visit, focusing on expanding market access, addressing trade barriers, and building long-term partnerships.
Participants engaged in an open and candid discussion on market challenges, including pricing dynamics and compliance requirements. The REAP delegation responded to queries and reaffirmed their commitment to meeting international standards and enhancing reliability in supply chains.
The event concluded with a reception dinner, providing an opportunity for further networking and relationship building.
The initiative reflects Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote its high-quality agricultural exports and deepen trade relations with the United States.
