CPEC has brought economic revolution in Pakistan: FM

Says the mega project created a large number of job opportunities for both skilled and unskilled labors in the country.

NYIINGCHI (CHINA): Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has said after the launch of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Pakistan has seen a major transformation in its economic landscape. Besides, a large number of job opportunities have been created for both skilled and unskilled labors in the country.

He said CPEC had brought an economic revolution in Pakistan and driving the country’s economy towards a bright prospect.

He stated this at a meeting with director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs China Wang Yi on the sidelines of the third China Xizang Trans-Himalaya Forum for International Cooperation in Nyingchi.

Relations with China have been the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and both the nations backed and supported each other at all international forums. He also extended congratulations on the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Wang Yi on the occasion said Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic cooperative partners. He said bilateral relations had withstood the test of time and continued to maintain a sound momentum of development.

Wang Yi said China stands ready to work with Pakistan to promote high-quality development of the CPEC.
