Dr Adeebul Hassan Rizvi honored with international award

Humanitarian Recognition Award 2024 announced for the surgeon by American Association of Urologists.

KARACHI: Dr Adeebul Hassan Rizvi, a philanthropist and the brainchild and head of Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) Karachi, has been given another international award for his services in the field of healthcare in Pakistan.

The renowned surgeon has been given the Humanitarian Recognition Award 2024 by the American Association of Urologists. Dr Rizvi has been honoured with the award for his life-long contribution to the healthcare of poor people by establishing South Asia’s largest institute for treating kidney patients.

In 1998, Dr Rizvi won the Ramon Maqsay Award while in 2015 he was honored with the Life Achievement Award by the government of Pakistan. Thousands of people, especially poor, have benefited from the services available at the SIUT.
