SHREVEPORT, Louisiana, April 20, 2026: Eight children were shot dead in a tragic incident in the US state of Louisiana, while the attacker was killed in a police response, authorities said.
According to police officials, the shooting took place in the city of Shreveport, where the gunman targeted three different homes within the same neighborhood. The victims were reported to be between the ages of one and 14.
Following the attack, the suspect attempted to flee the scene but was killed during an exchange of fire with law enforcement personnel.
