Envoys of Pakistan, China discuss bilateral ties

Expresses satisfaction over current state of bilateral relations in different fields.

NEW YORK: Permanent representative of China Ambassador Zhang Jun made a farewell call on his Pakistani counterpart Munir Akram at the Pakistan Mission in New York and the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to further cement bilateral relations in different fields.

During their meeting, the permanent representatives expressed satisfaction on the current level of engagement at the UN.

Ambassador Akram appreciated outgoing Ambassador Zhang Jun for his leadership and splendid services in strengthening the relationship between Pakistan and China. 

It may be mentioned here that Ambassador Munir Akram has been leading the Pakistani mission at the UN headquarters for long. He has been in the forefront of efforts on part of Pakistan in raising the issues of Kashmir and Palestine. 

Pakistan and China have deep-rooted ties in multiple fields and their friendship has become examplary for other countries.
