Ex-Judge Arshad Malik succumbed due to corona

Former judge of accountability court Arshad Malik has succumbed due to corona virus in Islamabad. He has been on ventilator for the last five days.

Judge Arshad Malik was undergoing treatment at a private hospital after contracting the corona virus and was on a ventilator for five days. According to hospital sources, his condition had become critical for the past two days.

Arshad Malik’s heirs include two sons and two daughters. Family sources said that the ex-judge funeral prayers will be offered in Mandra. However,  he had sentenced former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to 7 years imprisonment in the Azizia reference, while acquitted him in the flagship reference on December 24, 2018.

It should be noted that on July 6, 2019, after a video was released by Maryam Nawaz, the Supreme Court took notice of the matter and removed Arshad Malik from the post of Accountability Court Judge.
