PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Circle Peshawar has dismantled a network involved in preparing fake Pakistani identity documents for Afghan nationals during a targeted operation in the city.

According to officials, the raid was conducted at a private hostel in the Taj Abad area, where several Afghan nationals were taken into custody. Investigators recovered counterfeit Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), Pakistani passports, and Afghan identity documents from the site.

Authorities said preliminary findings suggest that the arrested individuals had paid large sums of money to agents in exchange for forged documentation, which was later used for international travel under false identities.

An FIR has been registered, and further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend additional facilitators and members of the network involved in producing and supplying the fake documents.
