Gandapur, Bushra fled leaving behind workers helpless: Tarar

Minister say these people had planned to enter Red Zone, attack Parliament House and target important govt functionaries.

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information Ata Tarar said that Gandapur and Bushra Bibi had led the marchers to Islamabad to get their leader released but fled in one vehicle leaving their party workers in the lurch.

Talking to the media after the dramatic end to the PTI protest late on Tuesday night, Tarar said that he had just taken a round of D Chowk and other areas and found no protesters but their belonging including shoes and shirts.

The minister claimed that these people had planned to enter Red Zone in Islamabad, attack Parliament House and target important government functionaries. They torched the container in which Gandapur and Bushra Bibi had led the marchers because the container had all the information about their conspiracy, he added.

He said that it is for the second time within less than two months that Gandapur had fled leaving behind his party workers and supporters.
