After the continuous increase in the prices of petroleum products, electricity has also been made more expensive by Rs 1.95 per unit. Consumers will be burdened with Rs 200 billion.
Addressing a joint press conference in Islamabad, Federal Minister Omar Ayub said that the increase was only a little, electricity should have been more than Rs 3 more, Planning Minister Asad Umar also blamed the N League government for making electricity more expensive. They all say that burden belongs to N League, while, it should have been added first.
Citizens say on the increase in electricity prices, now they are not even able to say anything, this government has left us of nowhere. Citizens said that the government claims that new cheap electricity contracts have been signed with IPPs, then why is electricity becoming more expensive every month?
