ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that strengthening exports and increasing domestic production of industrial goods remain key priorities of the government as it pushes forward with broader economic reforms.
He expressed these views while chairing a review meeting in Islamabad on sectoral reforms and policy measures aimed at enhancing investment and supporting overall economic growth.
The prime minister said the promotion of industry and manufacturing, along with increased foreign investment, is essential for the sustainable growth of the national economy. He added that reforms in industry, trade and other sectors must focus on long-term economic stability and public welfare.
Shehbaz Sharif said work is underway on a comprehensive strategy to meet future energy requirements through alternative energy sources. He also stressed the need for an effective Electric Vehicles (EV) policy to promote energy conservation and affordable transportation in the country.
He emphasized that all ministries must work in close coordination to ensure effective implementation of development policies. The prime minister further stated that transparency and improved performance across all initiatives remain a top government priority.
