MAKKAH: The sermon of Hajj delivered by the Imam and preacher of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Hudhaifi stressed the importance of piety, faith, and fulfilling commitments, calling upon believers to remain conscious of God and uphold moral and spiritual discipline.
Addressing worshippers, he urged believers to fear God, adopt righteousness, and remain steadfast in honoring their promises and obligations. He emphasized that associating partners with God is forbidden and that true believers must remain committed to monotheism and worship of the One Creator alone.
The preacher highlighted that the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ represent the final message of Islam, urging Muslims to remain patient in times of hardship and to remember that patience brings great reward. He reminded believers to be grateful for God’s blessings and warned that nations that show ingratitude and injustice risk losing divine favor.
He further stated that the relationship between a servant and God is the path to salvation, encouraging unity among Muslims and discouraging disputes, conflict, and actions that weaken solidarity during Hajj.
The sermon also reflected on the Day of Judgment, describing it as a moment of immense accountability and urging believers to prepare through righteousness, truthfulness, and avoidance of wrongdoing such as false speech, innovation in religion, and backbiting.
Pilgrims were advised to remain engaged in prayer, remembrance of God, and supplication, especially during the sacred rituals, while maintaining peace and discipline throughout the pilgrimage.
