High-Level Delegation Led by Field Marshal Reaches Iran
RAWALPINDI: A high-level Pakistani delegation, led by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has arrived in Iran as part of ongoing diplomatic and mediation efforts in the region.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also part of the delegation. Upon arrival, the Pakistani team was received by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
The ISPR stated that Field Marshal Asim Munir’s visit is part of Pakistan’s broader efforts to support mediation and diplomatic engagement aimed at reducing regional tensions.
According to international media reports, including Al Jazeera, the Pakistani delegation is expected to convey messages from the United States to Iran, while also discussing the possibility of a second round of negotiations between the concerned parties.
Officials have not disclosed the detailed agenda of the meetings, but the visit is being viewed as a significant step in Pakistan’s active diplomatic role in facilitating dialogue between key regional and global stakeholders.
