Iranian Delegation Expected to Arrive in Islamabad Today

ISLAMABAD: The Iranian delegation is expected to arrive in Islamabad on Tuesday evening for talks with the United States, according to sources.

The delegation will be led by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and strict security arrangements have been put in place for the visit.

According to reports, the US delegation is also expected to travel to Pakistan, with American Vice President JD Vance reportedly departing Washington on Tuesday for the discussions.

The talks between the United States and Iran are expected to take place in Islamabad on Wednesday, with Pakistan playing a facilitating role in hosting the dialogue.

Sources say Pakistan has been actively working to ensure the success of the negotiations, including diplomatic contacts between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and his Iranian counterpart.

Officials from both the US and Iran have reportedly appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in facilitating the process.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reiterated that Iran will not negotiate under pressure, stressing that trust and respect are essential for meaningful dialogue. He also emphasized that while Iran seeks to end conflict, it will not compromise on national dignity.
