ISLAMABAD: A leaked document has surfaced, exposing the involvement of India’s notorious intelligence agency RAW in a so-called false flag operation in Pahalgam, sparking fresh controversy and competing narratives around the incident.
According to reports, the document linked to India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) outlined plans for a staged operation in Anantnag district. It included directives to shape a media narrative portraying an attack on non-Muslims following the incident.
The document further claimed that more than 200 social media accounts were to be activated to amplify an anti-Pakistan narrative. It also suggested that within hours of the incident, a coordinated media campaign would be launched to blame Pakistan and seek international support under the banner of counterterrorism.
The development comes amid heightened regional tensions, with both sides continuing to exchange accusations, further complicating the already fragile security situation in the region.
