London rally pours shame on US, British govts for Gaza stance

Backing of Israeli atrocities on people of Palestine by US and British govts is shameful, say protesters.

LONDON: Hundreds of thousands of people held a rally in London against the Israeli genocide of Palestinians and the stances of the British and US governments on the issue.

Despite biting cold and rain, the participants of the rally marched from the London trade centre to the Parliament Square. They were carrying placards and banners and chanting slogans calling for immediate end to the killings in Gaza.

The protesters condemned the veto of a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and Britain’s absence from the session of the world body.

They said they will take revenge of those who have been supporting Israel in the next election.

The protesters asked the big powers to play their role in stopping genocide of the people in Palestine instead of supporting the Israeli aggression and barbarism in Palestine.

They said it was shameful that the US and Britain who always make tall claims on human rights and peace and lecture other countries were openly backing Israel in its barbarism and rampant killings of innocent people including children and bombings of hospitals and even refugee camps.

Meanwhile, Britain’s King Charles was embarrassed by a woman who appeared in front of him and chanted Pro-Palestinian slogans. She also asked the king to stop the war and free Palestine.

It may be mentioned here that so far about 20,000 people have been killed and over 45,000 injured and many more displaced but Israel continues bombings on Palestine.
