WASHINGTON: A recent NBC News survey indicates growing public dissatisfaction with the policies of U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to the poll, 63% of Americans oppose Trump’s policies, while his overall approval rating has fallen to 37%, marking what the survey describes as the lowest level of his second term.
The survey also highlights widespread concern over key national issues. About 66% of respondents criticized Trump’s handling of the economy, particularly inflation, as well as tensions involving Iran. Among Americans under 30, 74% oppose potential U.S. military action against Iran.
Only 33% of participants believe the country is moving in the right direction, while 66% say it is on the wrong track. Just 32% approve of Trump’s approach to controlling inflation, compared to 68% who disapprove.
Despite declining national support, Trump continues to maintain strong backing among Republican voters, with 83% approval, though even this figure has dropped by 4% since earlier this year. Overall support has also declined from 58% to 52%.
The findings suggest increasing public concern over economic conditions and foreign policy decisions, even as Trump retains a solid base within his party.
