Pakistan, China Discuss Regional Situation, Iran–US Talks

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad on Tuesday, during which matters related to the regional situation were discussed.

According to the Foreign Office, the meeting focused on recent developments in the region, including ongoing diplomatic efforts surrounding Iran–United States relations and broader regional stability.

The Chinese ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote dialogue and connectivity aimed at fostering peace and stability in the region.

He also expressed China’s full support for Pakistan’s initiatives to encourage diplomatic engagement between relevant parties.

During the meeting, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership with China. He emphasized the importance of high-level exchanges between the two countries and underscored the need to further deepen bilateral relations.

Both sides agreed to continue close coordination on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
