ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that Pakistan will soon host the next round of important negotiations aimed at promoting regional peace.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, the premier congratulated Donald Trump for his “extraordinary efforts” toward achieving peace and also appreciated his productive telephonic conversation with leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Türkiye, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif noted that Asim Munir represented Pakistan during the call and commended his continuous and dedicated efforts throughout the peace process.
He said the discussion provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on the evolving regional situation and to advance ongoing diplomatic efforts for lasting peace in the region.
The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to sincere and constructive peace efforts, expressing hope that the country will soon host the upcoming round of negotiations as part of its ongoing mediation role.
