PM Imran will inaugurate BRT on 13 August

PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate a long awaited Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project launched by previous PTI’s provincial government on 13th August.

According to sources an invitation has been recieved to PM Imran for inauguration of BRT on 13 August, however, PM office did not commented yet on this. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan will be along with PM Imran.

Similarly, PM Khan will be briefed about BRT project. The final date decision for inauguration of BRT has yet to be decide, said sources.

It is to rememberred that BRT project had been launched in the previous provincial tenure of PTI, however, the project has delayed due to allegedly corruption and mismanagement. The PTI has faced sever criticism for the delay in BRT project from public and political opponents.

Collectively 220 air-conditioned mini and large buses will be operationalized in the project. One side trip via Hayatabad KarKhano market to Chamkani consisted of 31 stops will be completed in one hour.
