ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar has reaffirmed that ensuring the protection of media workers remains an utmost priority.
He emphasized that both the federal and provincial governments are working tirelessly, day and night, to create a conducive environment for media channels while guaranteeing the rights and welfare of media personnel.
Addressing the National Assembly, Minister Tarar stated that the Pakistan Broadcasting Association would be actively engaged to address issues related to the job security of journalists. He further highlighted that matters concerning the employment conditions, benefits, and overall welfare of journalists would be thoroughly reviewed and resolved.
The minister also underscored that concrete measures would be taken to address the various challenges faced by media workers. He affirmed that these efforts would be pursued in close coordination with coalition partners as well as the opposition, ensuring a collaborative, inclusive, and effective approach to safeguarding the rights and interests of media professionals across the country.
