ISLAMABAD: The PTI has announced its decision to join Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) and form governments in the center and Punjab.
The announcement was made by PTI spokesperson Rauf Hassan in Islamabad about other party office-bearers.
He said the PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan has given a message that the party that had won the highest number of seats should be given the right to form a government in accordance with the law.
He said Imran Khan had also decided to nominate Ali Amin Gandapur as the chief minister of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.
The spokesperson also said that Imran Khan had directed by to hold the intra-party election of the PTI as soon as possible. He said the PTI was going to form a government in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and in Punjab it would join the MWM.
He said that in the province of Khyber Pakthunkhwa, the Jamaat e Islami will join the PTI government as an alliance.
It may be noted that results of 264 out ofvthe 265 seats of the National Assembly have been announced and out of these 101 seats have been grabbed by independent candidates including 92 backed by the PTI.
Other parties and the number of seats won by them are PML-N 79, PPP 54 and MQM 17.
