PESHAWAR: PTI government in KP has failed to take action against terrorists and is also involved in corruption, said PPP Khyber Pakthunkhwa information secretary Amjad Afridi.

Addressing a press conference, he said the government had allowed terrorist activities to flourish, resulting in a surge in attacks.

“The PTI government has failed to provide security to the citizens of this province. It has allowed terrorism to spread, and the people are suffering.”

The PPP leader also accused the PTI government of rampant corruption. He claimed that the government had embezzled billions of rupees, including a Rs6 billion scam in the purchase of wheat. The PTI government is corrupt to the core,” Afridi said.

“They have stolen funds meant for the poor and vulnerable segments of society.”

Afridi also criticized the government’s handling of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, alleging that funds meant for the project had been embezzled.

“The BRT system was meant to provide affordable transportation to the people of this province, but the government has turned it into a lucrative business for themselves,” he said.

Furthermore, Afridi accused the government of rigging the health card system, alleging that they were using it to steal money and funnel it into their own hospitals.

“The health card system was meant to provide healthcare facilities to the poor, but the government has turned it into a tool for their own corruption,” he said.

Afridi called on the government to take action against corruption and terrorism. “The government must ensure the safety and security of citizens,” he said.

“They must take concrete steps to address corruption and terrorism, or else the people will suffer,” he added.
