RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has introduced a new regulation for Hajj 2026, barring children under the age of 15 from participating in the pilgrimage.
According to officials from the Ministry of Hajj, all visas issued to pilgrims below 15 years of age have been cancelled. Authorities stated that affected applicants will receive full refunds.
The Pakistan Airports Authority confirmed that the decision will be implemented immediately, with effect from May 3, 2026. Airlines have been instructed not to allow boarding of passengers under 15 years of age for Hajj flights.
The move is part of updated regulatory measures for the upcoming pilgrimage, although no further details were provided regarding the reasons behind the restriction.
The directive applies to all countries, and strict compliance has been advised to ensure smooth travel operations during the Hajj season.
