LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League has imposed a one-year ban on Sri Lankan all-rounder Dasun Shanaka after he was found guilty of violating the league’s contractual obligations during PSL Season 11.
According to official sources, the decision was taken by the Pakistan Cricket Board following a detailed review of the case. Shanaka had signed a contract with the Lahore Qalandars for the season.
The board concluded that the terms of the agreement were breached, resulting in disciplinary action. As a result, Shanaka will not be eligible to participate in the next edition of the Pakistan Super League, including PSL Season 12.
The PCB stated that the decision was made in accordance with league regulations to ensure compliance with player contracts and maintain the integrity of the tournament.
