KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided to fully digitise the admissions system in government schools as part of efforts to improve transparency and student record management.
Under the new system, every student will be assigned a unique digital identity linked to their NADRA-issued B-Form. A modern digital student record system will be established in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The new platform will integrate admissions, attendance and examination records into a single digital profile for each student.
Officials said the system would help eliminate fake and duplicate enrolments while making it easier to track students who transfer schools or discontinue their education.
The digital admission registration process is already underway in 600 schools across Sindh. The system will be expanded in phases to cover all government and government-assisted schools in the province.
Sindh’s education minister said the use of technology would enhance transparency, reduce human intervention and improve educational planning. NADRA has assured the provincial government of its full technical support for the implementation of the project.
