DUBLIN: Captains from Pakistan women’s national cricket team, West Indies women’s cricket team, and Ireland women’s cricket team jointly unveiled the trophy for the upcoming tri-nation Women’s T20 series in Dublin.
The ceremony featured Pakistan captain Fatima Sana, West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews, and Ireland captain Orla Prendergast, who posed with the trophy ahead of the tournament.
The tri-series is scheduled to take place from May 28 to June 4, 2026, in Ireland and is being seen as a key preparation event for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup. All matches will be played at Castle Avenue Ground in Dublin.
The opening match of the series will be played between Ireland and West Indies, while Pakistan will begin their campaign against West Indies on May 29.
Cricket officials and players expressed optimism that the series will provide valuable match practice and help teams fine-tune their strategies ahead of the global tournament.
