KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies have arrested two suspected terrorists linked to the banned outfit Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) during a joint operation in the city.
According to CTD officials, the suspects identified as Allah Dino and Faraz Ahmed Somro alias “Toto” were apprehended near Hub River Road in a coordinated action by the Counter Terrorism Department and intelligence agencies.
Authorities said the suspects were allegedly involved in planning terrorist activities in Karachi, including a previous attack on a dental clinic that resulted in the killing of a Chinese national and injuries to others.
Officials recovered explosives, detonators, safety fuses, and a weapon from their possession. One of the suspects was already wanted in a separate terror case and had been in hiding to avoid arrest.
Security agencies said further raids are underway to arrest their accomplices and dismantle the network linked to the group.
