BEIJING: President Asif Ali Zardari will embark on an official visit to China from April 25 to May 1 at the invitation of the Chinese government.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the president will depart for Beijing and undertake a multi-city visit during his stay. From April 25 to 27, he will visit Changsha in Hunan province, while from April 28 to May 1, he will be in Sanya, located in Hainan province.
During the visit, President Zardari is scheduled to hold meetings with Chinese provincial leadership, where discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing economic and trade cooperation, and reviewing progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Officials said the visit reflects the longstanding tradition of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China. It also coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, highlighting their commitment to further deepening the “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.”
The visit is expected to reinforce mutual cooperation and open new avenues for collaboration in key sectors of shared interest.
